the answer will always be yes, a tattoo will hurt. But hopefully you can use this handy-dandy chart to help you decide what you can and cannot handle.

If you are experienced at getting ink, then you have no problem deciding your next tattoo placement. If it is your first time getting a tattoo, you want to pick something in the green areas. A great place to start is either on your deltoids, (the top of your arm next to your shoulder), the back of your calves, or any part of your thigh that’s not the inside of them.
If you need to consider common nerve injuries, such as sciatica and carpel tunnel, certain areas will hurt more than others. If you have carpal tunnel and are getting an arm tattoo, you may feel the pain down your enter arm and hand, including your fingers. If you are getting a butt, lower back, or leg, you may feel the pain all up and down your leg and to your feet. If you have any other nerve injuries or nerve pain, feel free to contact us.
